Seth Kugblenu is one of Ghana’s finest business development, marketing, communications and public relations specialist with over 22 years’ experience in developing and implementing marketing, communication and engagement strategies for public, private, diplomatic and international development organizations.
He also has extensive experience leading high level engagements and M&E related activities with international organizations such as the AU, UNECA, USAID, UNICEF, AGRA, Twende Mbele, GiZ, IDinsight and the World Bank.
He is the Business Development Manager of La-Palm Royal Beach Hotel where he is leading in developing strategies to promote products/services, programmes, projects and policies of organizations geared towards improving the reputation of the brand, improving brand visibility, increasing customer engagement, strategizing for businesses to stand out from the competition and achieve competitive advantage and ultimately driving revenue growth
As Director of Communication & Policy Engagement for the International Centre for Evaluation and Development (ICED) headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, Seth has successfully improved ICED’s communication architecture, improved its visibility and enhanced the capacity of the communication teams across the country offices to develop and disseminate relevant knowledge products in a timely manner. He is versatile in deploying and leveraging both traditional and social media platforms to disseminate, secure feedback and galvanize support for strategies, programmes, policies and projects. Seth led as Conference Coordinator and Chair of the Steering Committee to consecutively organize ICED’s international policy/public engagement flagship programme in Africa, “Evidence to Action Conference and Exhibition” in Kampala-Uganda, Addis Ababa-Ethiopia and Accra-Ghana.
Whilst working with the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation, Office of the President, Ghana, Seth played a lead role in the development and organization of National Results Fair, a results-based communication and engagement forum with over 8000 stakeholders funded by the World Bank; development of the first National Monitoring and Evaluation Policy (NMEP) supported by UNICEF as well as coordinated and organized Ghana’s first ever “Ghana Evaluation Week”. He has also worked with the Vanguard Group, the South African High Commission and the National Board for Small Scale Industries (Ghana Enterprises Agency); and serves on the boards of Development Insights Hub (DIH) and Aykon Information Systems Consulting Services Ltd.
He is a goal getter with strategic thinking and outlook, creative thinking as well as a deep commitment to ensuring effective delivery and achievement of sustainable development impact.
Seth holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School, First Degree in Management and Sociology from the University of Ghana (First Class Honors), and a Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (UniMac) {Overall Best Student} as well as taken a course in “Transforming Leadership & Governance”.
